Welcome to EastOceansg.com. (“EOA”) EOA provides the contents and services available on the site to you, subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By using or accessing the site, you have agreed, read and understood that you will be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including our Privacy Policy.

 

  1. SALES

    By completing the product purchase order form and clicking the “Checkout” button and submitting an order via EOA online system, customer represents and warrants that customer has the requisite legal capacity, authorization and consent to contract with EOA and agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.

    EOA reserves the right to amend, add or edit any of these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

  2. WARRANTY OF PRODUCTS

    All warranty conditions are stated in the product information provided, unless the manufacturer has provided none. EOA will pass on any product warranty offered by manufacturer of the products to our customers. Stated so, EOA does not manufacture the product itself, EOA shall neither be held responsible for any faults or defects of the products nor shall it be liable for any claims for loss, harm or damage by customer or end consumer or any third part arising out of or in connection with the products.

  3. PAYMENTS

    Payments for all orders received from any country must be paid by Credit Card or Paypal.

    EOA currently accepts only Visa, MasterCard and PayPal payments. International buyers/customers should note that all prices quoted are in Singapore Dollars by default. Customers may choose to view and transact the prices in other quoted currencies by the own source not within EOA. The bank that owns your credit card must support your payments in these currencies. You will be charged according to the prevailing exchange rate on the day that your bank posts the transaction. All prices quoted are exclusive of delivery charges, taxes/levies and other fees unless otherwise stated.

    At EOA, we do not charge custom duties on international shipments, however EOA cannot guarantee that customs charges will not be applicable to your package when it reaches your country. EOA is required by law to declare the contents of international packages and to state the full value of the shipment, even if the package contains a gift. EOA is not responsible for these charges and cannot provide estimates as to what these charges may be. You may wish to contact your local customs office or post office for further information.

  4. DELIVERY SERVICES

    We aim to deliver the item to you at the place of delivery requested by you in your order.

    We always aim to deliver within 2 working days from the date of any order which we accept but we cannot guarantee any firm delivery dates.

    Delivery is within Singapore only.

    EOA reserves the right to reject any delivery not in favor to us. E.g. multiple locations within an order. Subject to order cancellation policy by EOA, EOA shall be obliged to deliver the products to the customer only upon confirmation of customer's order and receipt of full due payment or satisfactory evidence of due payment from customer.

    Delivery of products shall be made in accordance with the traded terms at current time of order, date and time as EOA may notify customer by email, fax or phone. Upon delivering the order, the person who receives the goods may be required to sign on the invoice to acknowledge receipt of the goods.

    For delivery in Singapore, if the first delivery attempt is not successful due to nonavailability of the recipient at the time of delivery, there will be no surcharges for the first re-delivery.

    If delivery or collection is delayed through your unreasonable refusal to accept delivery or if you do not (within two weeks of our first attempt to deliver the Product to you) accept delivery or collect the Product from the carrier, then we may (without affecting any other right or remedy available to us) do either or both of the following:

    a. charge you for our reasonable storage fee and other costs reasonably incurred by us; or

    b. no longer make the item available for delivery or collection and notify you that we are immediately cancelling the applicable order, in which case we will refund to you or your credit or debit card company as applicable any money already paid to us under the applicable order, less our reasonable administration charges (including for attempting to deliver and then returning the item, and any storage fees as provided for in clause 5.11(a) above).

  5. ORDERING

    EOA will send an electronic acknowledgement to the customer within 24hours upon successful submission of an order. EOA does not guarantee that every title offered for sale online would actually be shipped immediately as our inventory level may vary on daily basis. In a rare situation, a title may be in stock when you place your order and sold out by the time your order is processed. EOA will inform you by email, fax or phone to remove that title from your existing order.

  6. ORDER CANCELLATION

    EOA reserves the right to amend or cancel the customer's order under any circumstance when EOA suffer loss, damage, cost or expense from performing its obligations. When such event occurs and EOA exercises its right to amend or cancel the customer's order, the affected customer shall be duly notified and any payment that the customer has paid shall be refunded within a reasonable timeframe. Such event may include, but not limited to, any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document or information issued by EOA.

  7. RETURN POLICY

    In the event that the product(s) or part(s) of the products are damaged, defective or faulty (through no fault of customer), EOA shall, at its discretion:

    a. Replace the same product(s) or part(s) due to manufacturing fault provided that:

    b. Customer notifies EOA their intention to return the products within 3 days of the delivery or deemed delivery of the product(s) to customer; and

    c. Customer returns the product(s) or part(s) thereof to EOA in their original packing to such collection point designated by EOA; accompanied with the original sales invoice with date of purchase and a brief description of the fault of the product(s).

    d. EOA agrees to such return of the product(s) or part(s) thereof by customer.

    e. Customer shall bear all delivery charges in relation to the return of the product(s) or part(s) thereof to the collection point designated by EOA.

    All our goods sold are non-exchangeable and non-returnable.

    For Local Return Policy: Return of product(s) will be arranged with EOA.

    For Overseas Return Policy: Customer has to return the said faulty product(s) and bear the return freight charges. Upon receipt of the faulty product(s), EOA will send the replacement product(s) via mail. Normal delivery lead time applies.

  8. EXCHANGE POLICY

    Once a product has been sold, it cannot be exchanged except for the following:

    a. Products received are different from what is stated on the invoice; i.e. Wrong goods are delivered.

    b. Product is found to be faulty.

    c. If the product(s) received is wrong or faulty, there will be a one-to-one exchange for the same product. To exchange a product, please contact us within 3 days upon receiving the goods.

    Local Exchange Policy: Exchange of product(s) will be arranged at EOA.

    Overseas Exchange Policy: Customer has to scan/picture the said product(s) and email EOA for verification. EOA will send the replacement product via mail upon approval. Normal delivery lead time applies.

    All products to be exchanged have to be returned to EOA in their original packaging, accompanied with the original sales invoice with date of purchase and a brief description of the fault of the product(s).

  9. LATE DELIVERY, NON-DELIVERY, PARTIAL DELIVERY

    Any time period indicated at the website as to the delivery period of the products are estimates only. EOA shall undertake all reasonable efforts to ensure that the products are delivered to customer within the relevant period(s) specified at the website, or as agreed between EOA and customer. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, EOA is unable to guarantee there shall be no late delivery or non-delivery of the products and EOA makes no representations or warranties that the products will be delivered within such period(s). Customer hereby agrees that EOA shall not be liable for any loss, damage, and cost or expense suffered or incurred by customer as a result of such late delivery or non delivery.

  10. CHARACTERISTICS OF PRODUCTS

    EOA has tried its best to ensure that the images of the products materially resemble the products delivered to the customer. These images are provided to EOA by the suppliers/manufacturers of the products or other third parties. Due to differences in monitors, the colour seen on screen may not be the exact colour of the product. Accordingly and due to limitations beyond EOA's control, EOA is not responsible or liable for any differences or non-conformity of the products delivered to the customer as compared to the images of the products displayed on the website.

  11. OWNERSHIP OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

    All intellectual property rights existing in or in relation to the website and/or contents (including but not limited to any text, pictures, image, sound, graphics, video and other data), the products and/or any information, images or drawings supplied with the products belong to EOA and/or the supplier/manufacturer of the products (where applicable). Nothing herein shall or shall be deemed to pass any such intellectual property right to customer.

    EOA makes no representations or warranties of any kind (whether express or implied) as to the intellectual property rights in relation to the products and/or any information images or drawings supplied with the products.

    Customer undertakes not to use or download any material from the website and/or its contents (including but not limed to any text, picture, image, sound, graphics, video and other data) without first obtaining prior consent or a license to do so from EOA.

  12. LAW & REGULATIONS

    By transmitting an order via the website, the customer agrees that Singpaore Law shall govern the Terms & Conditions and any contract or legal relationship formed on the basis of the order.
